This year I have been making an effort to appreciate every phase of Spring. The changes in the plants can happen over night and if you are not paying attention you can miss Spring completely. This Spring I have been working on drawing and collage this month, mixing and matching mediums and making just to make and not have an end goal. This moth drawing is one of my experiments, I like the way it turned out and plan to do more!
I was going to enter Pressingmatters February print contest where you could only use orange and green ink, but I made a mistake. I went to submit it and realized I had made my print the wrong size! After being annoyed at myself for not paying attention to the submission details I thought I am going to make a stop motion with this print and my idea worked! I am delighted with the results:)
It’s 2026 and I feel like the year is already going by at warp speed! I have now illustrated all 12 zodiac signs as downloadable digital wallpapers. I started this in June of 2025 and it’s been so fun finding out more about each sign. I will say that I found Capricorn a bit tough but I eventually got it! Goodbye 2025! Half way through the year I quit a job that made me sad and I was so excited to leave it in the dust. While searching for a new job I filled my days with working on art work and making animations. I had a blast and was able to create so may fun things over the last six months. I am feeling like myself again and start a new job next week. My last animation of the year was an ode to Mexican Hot Chocolate which brings me so much joy whenever I get a chance to have some. Happy New Year to you and I hope that you find time for joy of all sizes in 2026!
