Trick-or-Treat!!

Everything in miniature is so cute and that includes Halloween candy. I recently made a stop motion animation about trick-or-treating and I needed to re-create some Halloween candy. It was so much fun to draw each and everyone, can’t say that I like all these candies but the graphics were fun to duplicate. The Swedish Fish are by far my favorite out of the bunch. My least favorite are Necco Wafers, they look like they should be good but are chalky and have no flavor! But I know people that love them, to each their own:) What is your favorite Halloween candy?

Last Days of Summer

The summer went by so fast this year. I am actually excited that fall is on it’s way and it happens on September 22nd, if you want to mark your calendars. I am working on my summer issue of Zone 8 now, which is kind of a recap of my summer. I wanted to share this Sun Paper Collage I did for one of the spreads, I really liked the way it turned out. I could cut paper into shapes all day long, it is so relaxing. And don’t even get me started on how much fun gluing down the shapes onto paper is!

The End of Cancer Season

There is one more day left of Cancer season. This is my Zodiac sign and I celebrated a birthday in June. It was delightful and I spent my special day in Asheville. If you are into Astrology there is an awesome book called The Secret Language of Birthday’s. It does not disappoint and is a great Birthday gift to give to someone who is into this sort of thing. It never ceases to amaze Matt and I when we look people up when we find out their birthday. It also makes a great coffee table book!

Sambas Everywhere

I went to NYC and all I saw was Sambas. Just kidding I saw a lot more but almost every other person had a pair of Sambas on. I sat for a while in Madison Square Park and people watched, I found it funny that 90% of the conversations were people complaining about boyfriends, girlfriends, co-workers and family members. I guess the trip could have a titled “Drama in Sambas”.

Where Nature is Nice

This year starts the eighth year of living in Charlotte. The one thing I enjoy everyday here is the nature. Matt and I talk often about where else in the United States we would want to live. We have not come up with a place yet but I am sure we will eventually. When I think about what I will miss about Charlotte if we do move away it’s the nature. I often chuckle at the city’s slogan “Charlotte’s Got a Lot” because I don’t think it does, I have found it to be just one big suburb with lot’s of nature and endless options for grocery stores.
